JUNIOR STYLIST / MANAGER
I started my hairdressing career in 2011 with almost no prior knowledge of the industry and have grown my skill and passion for hair ever since. I am a strong believer in always furthering your skills and keeping yourself up to date, so me and limelight will continue to grow our knowledge and skills so we can offer our clients as much as we can.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN A HAIRDRESSER?
When I was 17 I started an apprenticeship at a city centre salon, I felt I would get up to date training in the centre which would help give me the best start to my career. My apprenticeship showed me how to deliver great customer service and I stayed here for a few years while I got my qualification. We opened Limelight in 2013, while here I gained my level 3 hair qualifications and attended L’oreal colour courses to be able to offer customers up to date knowledge and the latest trends when choosing and changing their colour. I have also been on a Tigi creative cutting course to learn more advanced cutting skills and techniques to use when cutting and styling in the salon. I will keep adding to my skills by doing more courses in the future and have recently completed my level 3 management qualification so customers get the best service possible while we help them with all their hair wants and needs!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE HAIR STYLE?
It’s hard to choose as most hairstyles look great when styled on the right person. I do enjoy cutting and styling long hair, When its straight i can make it curly and when its curly i can make it straight. Seeing the change is so satisfying!
WHO IS YOUR CELEBRITY HAIR ICON?
I would have to pick David Beckham. He has influenced so many people to copy his haircuts over the years. There has been the Mohawk, high-lights or how about the cornrows? I guess there has been questionable choices but apart from a few I think since the mid 90’s up until this day he has been setting the trends for how men choose to cut and style their hair.
